Corman’s southern division is busy repairing the Varina-Enon Bridge, the world’s first bridge that used precast concrete delta frames for its 630-ft. long cable stayed span that carries I-295 over the James River in Richmond, VA. Repairs include post tensioning and concrete at each cable stay location on both towers using 150-ft. scaffold towers. Project will be completed early summer 2019.

Corman is Rehabilitating Ferry Docks for Hampton Roads Transit
Awarded in March 2019, Corman teamed up with Lead Designer Collins Engineers, Inc. to design and repair/replace four ferry docks in the Elizabeth River in Virginia’s Tidewater Region. Design is currently underway to restore the Waterside, Harbor, North Landing, and High Street ferry docks with a May 2020 project completion.
